Google Goggles?

Is this a bit like beer goggles? You know what I’m talking about. No? obviously didn’t go to college and are male. If you are male and went to college and still dont know what Beer Goggles are…you are fucking way lame.  Anyhow, this contraption looks awesome. I’m a big fan of where smart phones are taking us and their usefullness. Then again I love Star Trek (STOP LAUGHING) and want us to move more in that direction. While I don’t know what actual aspects I can use this for – i’m the kind of guy who doesn’t mind waiting while looking thing sup or you know…researching where i’m going to eat before I leave the house. Just Sayin’

Gears of War 3 Delayed – What a way to ruin your weekend

G4Tv has announced that Gears of War 3 has been Delayed. Bummer.   It’s not just a few months, rather it is a full year! The new release date for Gears of War 3 will be sometime in FALL 2011. >.< In a press release from Microsoft they go on to state:

“Gears of War 3 promises to be the biggest entertainment launch of 2011. The teams at Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games have done great work thus far readying the title for release in the Spring of 2011. However, we’ve elected to move the launch of Gears of War 3 until Fall 2011 to make it the marquee title for the holiday season.”

It could be the marquee for national pants day – it doesnt matter. Gears is a HUGE franchise no matter when it’s released. I am hopeful that they’ll have more time to polish it’s playability. As Richie and I have said many times on the Podcast we appreciate the time it takes to release a game and it’s subsequent effort involved. Don’t RUSH IT. DON’T PANIC. Just please don’t release a 3d version of this game. Or something Kinect related. I’ll fucking vomit.

Fan sites are an effective way at getting out a message deeez days.  As usual it appears the Druid Model’s will only look good on Taurens, Warlocks on Undead and Rogues on Douchebags Aspie kids. The MMO Report!

MMO Report? What’s that you say? MMO’S SUCK. The content is boring – mmo’s are  slow, boring, and poopsockish then again, so are some major sports out there so, kindly shut the fuck up. Now never you mind if you don’t like mmo’s this show is so spectacular in so many ways.  First thing you see is it’s production value, which is quite good. I’d love to have a company have enough monies to drop on a set for me so of course you have to temper this a little. That said, there is a company with enough money to drop on a set for a show like this. THAT’S AWESOME. Which is why g4tv constantly walks upon the tightrope that is being “gamer” related and actually making money. SEE IMPOSSIBLE.  Casey the host is spectacular in his delivery and actually makes you believe he is a MMO-Nerd. Which, he’s probably not.  Normal people don’t play mmo’s.  This all leads me to my point – webshows are great. And you should watch them. now.

Warlock Tier 11 Models and Images

MMO-Champion released images for Warlock’s Tier 11 model’s. It’s interesting to see the design change and I quite like it. Maybe not the facemask so much, it reminds me of a certain masked superhero, but i love the horns. And as always glowing shoulders is always a bigger. So, what do you think? Good stuff? Can you wait for Cataclysm?

Brewfest Achievements – How to get the Green Brewfest Stein

Ugh. Achievements! Microsoft adding the achievement system has been the single biggest advancement in gaming since….hmm..the wii mote? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. I’m kidding. Wii-Mote *jerks off*. Please. Anyways. I’m playing my Shaman who does not have that “feat of strength” achievement for the Green Brewfest Stein errrrbody is getting. So I’m thinking wait a second how is this possible? You had to be part of the 2009 Brewfest event to get it Well blizzard has made it so you can get the achievement this year even if you missed it last year! TAH-DAH! So, how do you get the Stein if you didn’t get it in 2009? Man, It’s so stupidly easy even I could figure it out. As alliance you do this.

Get the quest “Now this is ram racing…Almost” where you use the racing reins to :

  • Maintain a Trot for 8 seconds
  • Maintain a Canter for 8 seconds
  • Maintain a Gallop for 8 seconds

After completing that quest you return to Neill Rammstien for the quest “there and back again” where you have to get a keg from Flynn Firebrew in Kharanos and return it to Pol Amberstill. Do this 3 times before your ram goes away.

After you complete that quest a new quest will open up. “another year, another souvenir” where you are given the Stein.

For horde…you will do the maintaining parts then get a follow up quest from Ram Master Ray.

/Salute Enjoy your feat of strength.

Big Girlz + Youtube = Today’s Lulz

Richie. I found you a girl. Her name is BIG TASHIA!  And here is her friend.  I”m totally insane.  Why do I torture myself with this garbage? Oh! I know why! Because I’m a bastard. Yep. That’s it! Anyways. Youtube is great for some things like music videos from the 90’s or live music performances or, failblog with it’s 4 billion hits, but not so great for people who just happen to stumble upon crap. Which leads me to; the downside of youtube. It’s that it has created a platform for all the truly moronic people to spout insane shit.  I mean, what’s with all this “unboxing” crap? Here’s an example of unboxing an iphone. Did the world REALLY need this video?

What is the appeal anyways? You’re talking over taking packaging out of a box? As if your commentary matters in any way possible. And with that, it leads me back to Tashia. She is obviously the expert on television programs such as the T.O Show and Chad Johnson Ochocinco’s show. /sarcasim.  So…Tashia’s of the world. Go away. Please. I know you’re breathing heavy,  go out and get a snickers bar will ya? Just please don’t put a video of you unboxing a box of snickers. My head just may explode.

Fable 3 Video’s – Something to geek out too in the AM?

Ok, I’m going to drop a bomb bomb bomb SHELL. Not really. I lie. I’m actually just going to put together some Fable 3 videos that are out right now.

Peter Molyneux visits the GameSpot live stage to show off Fable 3 with the worst possible interviewer possible. Good lord.

Here is a guide of the Fable 3 Levels – I like far more epic. 🙂

More gameplay – wings? Seriously?

Here is a good video of the emotions you can do to NPC’s

Lastly here is a combat video – which I know you’ve been waiting for – I love how the player uses the musket to shoot behind him without looking. Hilarious.

Bioshock – Infinite Gameplay

Man, this game looks sick. Sick in that I can get very real very fast. Tell me how in the world are you going to get balloon’s big enough for that massive statue. It would also be insanely windy at all times. What the weather today jed? Windy with chances of Sun? And what is up with the whole rail system where you simply put a jason hook on the chain and fly at insane speeds while dodging flack fire (NUKKA PLEASE) then fall vast distances only to CATCH the INCHES wide rail with the hook you are HOLDING. Yeah your arm wouldnt flind off into a million pieces. Anyways, the game looks good. 🙂

Gamers guide to having a personality – How to tell if your friend suck.

Welcome to my guide to having a personality gamers! I’m being a total troll here  so, you can either disregard this completely or just shut the fuck up and disregard this completely. So! Hey gamers! er….should I say the socially inept?  Lets first start with this: The chances are high for you to have the gamer tag  you are one of two things: 1. A social retard or, 2. Socially Inept. I mean living in a basement recounting final fantasy lore will never appear in a “keys to success” book am I right? I am. Deal with it.  “Success” is all in the eye of the beholder so take that with a grain of salt. Do you think the guys who run NBC, Fox or ESPN or any other major powerhouse business can tell you that they play final fantasy? NOPE. At some point maybe they did but they broke out of that phase because they learned a few things. And, my friends, I’m here to give you some clues how to break out of step 2. The first step is dropping the crappy gamer friends (same can be said of musicians). There are some rules here though.

1.  Are you under the age of 25? Yes? Disregard all of this. You are still a social retard with little to no life experience. High School is still closer to you than it is your 40’s.  And something happens to those who hit 25, especially guys, where we catch up to girls in the emotional state and that light turns on.
2. Did your friend suffer some through crazy life threatening situation, or did their insanely long and co-dependent relationship with a girl just end? Yes? Disregard it. Some people struggle in life cut em some slack.
3. Have you known them as a friend for greater than 3 years but less than 10? If you know someone for over 10 years – they will piss you off. Get over shit and move on. Life is a series of ups and downs. Tossing away double digit friendships is just flat out ignorant.

Ok. Checklist. 1 point for yes. 0 points for no. Bonus points where applicable.

1. In regards to your online gamer friends (yes gamer there is a 90% chance you have at least one “online friend” – do they email you outside of game time slightly equal to the amount of times you email them?
2. Have they ever emailed YOU instead of just replying to your emails?
3.  If your friend who moved away, or is out of town, comes to your town do they contact you greater than 24 hours beforehand to plan time with you? Add +1 if they have plans with multiple other friends and none for you, or guilt you for not making plans on a minutes notice. +10,000 if they tell a friend who then calls you and gives you shit about it.
4. Does your friend text/call you equal to 1/2 of the amount of times you do them?
5. Have you known said friend for greater than 5+ years and still know nothing about their personal life such as family and their subsequent names? Add +1 if  they say things like I’m going to visit my uncle tony who lives in Alabama yet you already know where this person lives from 3 years ago.
6. Did they show up at your wedding? Bonus points for if they did RSVP then bail in the week before your wedding via text. Extra triple points if they couldn’t even call you to tell you why they weren’t coming EVEN MONTHS LATER. (social retard alert!)
8. Do they remember your birthday prior to facebook telling you?
9. Do they disappear for months on end without any communication then contact you out of the blue and get mad/passive when you don’t communicate back? Bonus points if this happened more than once in a year’s period. Triple points if this happened over a 2-5 year period.
10.  Do they invite you out? Bonus points if they tell you they go out a lot and don’t at least invite you. DOUBLE 2 POINT BONUS if they decide FOR YOU.
11. Do they constantly do things you politely tell them not to that bothers you? Bonus points if it’s something like – stop sending me pron to my work email.
12.  Do they constantly or consistently make fun of you for the shows/sports/games/music you like? Please don’t confuse this with a difference of opinions. I’m talking like RPG games suck and are for douchebags after you just said you liked Fable 2 and it was the greatest game you ever played. Or Oasis sucks in every way possible.
13. Do they clown where you live such as….after you buy a cute house in New Jersey. Do they lump you into the douchey category that is the stereotypical person from New Jersey despite living in another state for most of your life. I guess I can just ask “Do they get happy for advancements you are making?
14. Do they constantly try to one up you? Let me provide some examples. Do they get smug about it and say something like I’ve done all those achievements and not offer to help you get them? Do they say well yeah I’m in “diamond division on starcraft 2”.  Do they tell you they played the like game that influenced that not from a standpoint of “yeah it was like this which you may also enjoy” but rather smugly as in “I did that years ago”. Did you really need me to explain that? Add extra 15 points.
15. Do they look like this blizzcon neckbeard? SEEEYA.
And lastly…
16.  Does your friend have a “gamer” girlfriend? And no, I’m not talking about a girl who just plays games sometimes. I’m talking full on gamer. The same can be said for the wife that gives your friend shit about playing games sometimes. F’it. I’ll end this quiz right now JUST RUN-AWAY. I can guarantee you this person is an aspie and lives with a total flake/bitch.

Scoring guide:

0 – your friend is ok
1 – Everyone forgets a birthday ok! -I dont even know MINE.
2 – They suck. Fucking drop em and invest in new friends or bettering yourself. No one needs crappy socially retarded gamer friends.

Playstation Move Is Out Today – Are you going to buy the popsicle?

I know two guys who won’t be buying this. Are you?  This thing looks utterly silly. The promo – does not. Richie and I have discussed this subject quite a few times on the podcast, but our opinion still stands. It’s more peripheral’s and totally unnecessary for two lazy cats like us. Meow. There are benefits and also downsides to this though so let me say this – lets hope its not just the Wii 2.0

Ratchet and Clank – A Crack In Time

Did anyone who played this game think that this game just goes on and on? I’ve been playing this game for nearly 9 months now in various spurts but there have been times where I sat down and destroyed swaths of this game. Maybe it’s the side missions to get zoni’s or upgrades, or the thunderdome deal but holy cow this game is going on and on! Not that it’s really a bad thing. It does have that old side scrolling battletoads elements where you simply just destroy things in hilarious and imaginative ways. Even still after awhile I am getting tired of blowing shit up. Is this because it’s meant to be the end of a chapter in R+C history? You tell me, I cant really tell.

Halo Reach or was it Halo 4? Combat De-Evolved then Re-Evolved? You Tell me – I dunno.

Man, that is a title. I’m actually impressed at how fucking lame I made that shit.  You’ll forgive me as I’m listening to the shit hot Gorillaz song Stylo and my attention is very lacking. I need to stop for a second and speak to Richie’s silence after I forwarded this song. It speaks volume’s to his displeasure. Sure, it’s Damon Albarn. And sure he’s white. Top that off with a litol’ british ness. Well with damon it’s  ALOT OF british. But like fuck rich. This shit is hot.

Anyways. Halo Reach. Lets REVIEW YOU BABY.

Sike. This aient no review! I’ll leave that to the awesome site that is G4tv.

I’m kidding. That’s Richie’s jawn! I don’t dare touch Halo “reviews” for fear of death from “RR” or “richie-raw” or whatever gamer tag I don’t know about that is currently being referenced to the king of games.  Oh you gamers and your gamer tag’s.  WHATEVER. Halo Reach is not bad. It’s just not that great. Stress great – because it’s good. If you like halo you’ll love this game.  If you want some kind of different take on Halo, it’s not exactly your thing. There are some new weapons in Halo Reach however. And that’s why we play halo amirite? Just look at this retarded list on Halopedia. I found myself using the M392 Designated Marksman Rifle virtually the entire time. Have fun killing a hunter with it though. You’ll run through 60 rounds on it without any effort. Then again with Hunters, you can bug them and just stand at max distance and prevent them from firing giving you an in to kill them. It’s excruciatingly fucking stupid to do it this way but when you’re given this gun, and a grenade launcher, (with 5 rounds?!?!?!?!) halfway through the game you’ll find yourself doing this. AND FUCKING OFTEN. NERD RAGE INCREASING. Anyhow Fast Forward a bit….I ended up beating the game last weekend and if anyone listens to our podcast you’ll know this can be quite and achievement for either of us.

In the end I found the game to be a lot of fun, more halo, but that it felt that it was halo 4 than anything else. Oh, it had different cut scenes that pre-dated anything we have seen. Woopie. The Multiplayer is something I cant speak to at all since, you know, ahem, moving on. You will find some gnarley quirks like AI driving but you’ll also find cool shit like shields. Hint: KEEP JET PACKS FOREVER DUMBASS. Good lucking finding that shit though, it rarely appears on maps. I’d love to find the location point of Jet Packs though. 🙂 (SEO FTW). The Storyline is great and will appease any kind of halo fan. The gameplay is more standard but not boring in any way so please don’t confuse some of the harshness for a dislike of the game. I’m sure it will score a 80-75 on metacritic and in my opinion this is perfectly fine. Go buy it at your local gamestop from the kid who has been growing out his beard since 16. Fuck gamestop employee’s. Sorry, just had to toss that in. It’s a good game. Get it.

Starcraft 2 – A Month Later

So by now errrrbody has played Starcraft 2. It’s a fantastic game with totally unexpected depth of game play for a RTS. Online multiplayer is a tad bit, Asian? Or, lesson’s in getting beat down by 12 year olds? My 1-10 record speaks volume’s to my sick RTS skills. But that is not my biggest observation. It’s that now, a month later, everyone I know is back to playing World of Warcraft.  I expected some numbers to go back, I mean, it’s crack. You always go back. But, jesus christmas! Everybody I know is back to playing wow and a dude is getting a bit lonely playing against the computer. Was this some grand plan to get people back into WoW? Doubtful.

So tell me is your friend list (all 2 of them) full of people playing WoW? I’m feeling the itch so, does starcraft 2 make you want to play wow?
